Create a Simple Christian Work Life Balance

Many of us are increasingly feeling the demand to perform well at work.
Fear of job losses and increasing financial pressures can lead to many people spending more time and energy on work-related tasks.
This increases your stress levels and makes it very difficult to find the motivation or energy to do much else during the working week.
Unfortunately, as your focus shifts to encompass more work activities you risk losing focus of those things that are most important to you.
The main reason most people spend so much time at work is to provide a living for the family they love.
Do you spend a lot of time and energy trying to earn enough money to pay for the home mortgage, pay the bills and to buy the things your family needs? By the time you've finished working, there's barely enough time left at the end of the day to actually spend time with the family you're working so hard for.
It's a never-ending vicious circle that can generate high stress levels and lead to health problems.
Think carefully about the reasons you work such long hours.
You want to provide the very best for the people you love most.
You want them to have a nice home and fun things, but what they don't have is you.
Children derive more satisfaction from spending an hour with you than from an expensive game or toy.
You can simplify your life and learn to create joy where there was only stress and pressure before.
The key to a simple life filled with love and joy is to build a work life balance that doesn't exclude those people nearest to your heart.
When you focus more on work than on family and God, you're actively creating an imbalance that could become unhealthy both physically and emotionally.
Think about how much time you spend each day doing things that you don't enjoy.
How much extra time could you have in each working day if you only did the important tasks and increased your productivity? Would you be able to leave work a little earlier so you can be home in time to spend some time with your family and eat dinner together? I Suggest that you all sit down as a family and discuss some ways they can all contribute to helping you to spend more quality time at home.
This might mean asking for their suggestions and opinions about reducing some expenses so you won't be required to work quite so hard.
Join together as a family in prayer and ask God for some guidance as you begin to develop your plan for a healthy work/life balance.
Look for ways you can find pleasure and joy from the simple things in life and you'll find your priorities begin changing all on their own.
Simplify Your Life and cut out a lot of the stressful influences.
As your stress levels decrease you'll find that it's much easier to work on time management tactics without feeling flustered.
This will also give you more time to spend working on your family life.
