A new home page

• 1). Go to wordpress.com and click "Sign up now." You will be directed to a form where you choose a web address, a username and a password.
  
  
• 2). Choose an address for your website. Your website can be hosted on wordpress.com for free or you can buy your own dot-com domain for $17 a year. If you choose the free option, your home page will be "xxxxx.wordpress.com." If you choose to purchase a domain, your home page will be "xxxxx.com."
  
  
• 3). Enter a username, a password and your email address on the same page. Click "Sign up" at the bottom of the page. If you've chosen to purchase your own domain, you'll need to fill out a few more forms. If you've chosen to host your website on wordpress.com, you will receive an activation link in your email. Click the link. It brings you to a sign in page. Sign in using the username and password you just created. You will be directed to the control panel for your new website and you are finished.
  
  
• 4). Enter your contact information to register your domain, if you've purchased one. Your first name, last name, email address, mailing address and phone number and payment are required. Click "Register Domain" at the bottom of the page when you are finished.
  
  
• 5). Enter your billing information on the next page. You can pay for your new domain with a credit card, debit card or through Paypal. Fill out the form and click "Purchase and Register Domain." You will be directed to the control panel for your new website.
