How to Decorate a Doggy Daycare
- 1). Type a copy of the daycare's rules for the dogs and owners and print it out. Place the list in a frame and hang the frame in the customer area, in plain sight.
- 2). Add couches and end tables to the customer area, if space allows. Place a basket on the end table with your current company flier and magazines relating to dogs, training and grooming. Obtain permission from owners to photograph their dogs, and frame the prints. Hang the prints around the walls in the customer area.
- 3). Lay a floor rug or doormat by the entrance, to prevent slips and falls in the winter months. Add a coat hook by the door for customers to use.
- 1). Lay large dog beds in the corners of the room. Provide multiple dog bowls with clean drinking water throughout the play area. Place squeak toys, ropes and rawhides in a large plastic bin and add the bin to the room.
- 2). Offer the dogs variety -- have multiple bins with various bones and toys inside them throughout the room.
- 3). Label storage bins for leashes, collars, dog coats and medications. Keep the storage bins in the room or the office, depending on the space.
