      Prove that you are of good character. Good character, according to British immigration law, means that you have no criminal record. This only applies to people over the age of 10. If you have a record, the British government requires documentation of all "unspent" criminal convictions. These are convictions that have not been removed from your record by the passage of time, which varies by the severity of the crime. Declare all civil proceedings that have resulted in a court order against you and provide details. The British government also requires documentation of income and tax payment from your country of current citizenship as well as documentation with details of any bankruptcies.
