What Do You Get When You Fall in Love...?

36
Burt Bacharach musically asked, "What do you get when you fall in love?" and cynically answered, "A girl with a pin to burst your bubble That's what you get for all your trouble." He added, "What do you get when you fall in love? You only get lies and pain and sorrow for at least until tomorrow. I'll never fall in love again."

Poor Burt.

Most people above the age of 12 or 13 have fallen in love. Call it puppy love or some other term that is considered demeaning to the emotion being experienced by the puppy lovers, it's still love, of a sort.

We're being told today, after decades of politically correct indoctrination by a mass media, a mass media whose sexual inclinations are suspect and who seem intent on convincing America's heterosexual dolts that it's all good, that males copulating with other males and women making whoopie with other women is not only normal but cool.

With the enthusiastitc support of the MSM, we're being indoctrinated into a gay culture which is preaching that those of us who think that gay culture is sick and perverted and that we who believe the gay cultures is a sham are brain-dead imbeciles.

What follows must therefore be the imbecilic ramblings of, umm, an imbecile.

New York's Republican candidate for governor, 64 year old successful Buffalo businessman Carl Pasquale Paladino, took a deep dip into imbecilic political hot water last week by saying that he opposes "pandering to the pornographers and perverts. I just think my children and your children would be much better off and much more successful getting married and raising a family, and I don't want them brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option- it isn't:" [http://tiny.cc/e3ylu]

He subsequently retreated under fire from that position, earning the disparagement of some rabbinical supporters.

Paladino's Democrat opponent, 52 year old Andrew Mark Cuomo, scion of the Mario Cuomo clan, took great offense at Paladino's remarks about gays and called the Republican "unfit" to be governor. This from a man whose governor-father might have been president of the United States if not for very strong rumors that his family had Mafia connections. Mario's rejoinder at the time was, "Mafia? What Mafia? The Mafia doesn't exist!"

I don't know if Andrew is any more sincere in his great offense than he is in his TV spots which refer to his opponent as "an insider."

Considering that Mario was governor of New York for a dozen years and that Andrew ran his father's campaigns, has been N.Y. attorney general for four years, has tried unsuccessfully to snag Hillary Clinton's Senate seat in 2008, has previously served as Bill Clinton's HUD secretary, and who was married to Kerry Kennedy of the RFK clan, Andrew couldn't be more of an insider if he tried.

Aside from all that political folderol, the timeless Bacharach question on the table is what do you get when you fall in love? Well, lies, pain, and sorrow would be dependent on individual circumstances but, among other things, normal people usually get a loving lifemate whom they marry, beget children and raise a family, which leads to Carl Paladino's unarticulated question, What do homosexuals get when they fall in love?

Ross S. Olson, MD, in an article published in 1998 titled, "Homosexuals Need Love," contends they do need that emotion but that what they get isn't exactly the same benefits as those obtained by heterosexuals whether they marry or not. The article may be 12 years old, long in the tooth considering societal evolution of late but it deals in universal truths, as seen by Dr. Olson if not by today's outspoken LGBT groups.

Olson also reiterates the truth that homosexuality is not nearly as prevalent as gays would like the straight world not to believe, that gays represent 1-2% of the general population, not the 10% or 20% or 99% figure that homosexuals dream of.

Olson sees "homosexual love" as attended by rampant promiscuity, emotional, physical-and moral-pain (far in excess of Burt Bacharach's), that it exacts an extreme "social and psychological toll," and, as he delicately puts it, "Incomplete fulfillment... [from] using equipment for purposes other than original design" all of which can lead to a frustration that in turn results in criminal, sexual actions: [http://tiny.cc/mg3aj2va5d]

More than a decade after Dr. Olson's observations, today's liberated homosexuals would disagree and suggest that if and when America consents to homosexual marriage and other gay demands that all will be good, that it will be virtual Nirvana in the gay world.

I very much doubt that.

New York's Italian voters have a tough choice on November 2. Vote for Mario Redux, aka Andrew Cuomo, or for a new and different Italian-American, Carl Paladino, a guy who may be rough around the edges but a guy who hasn't been in the smelly, political stew for the past 20 years.

Another plus for Paladino is that he sees gays for what they are-brainwashers who are intent on recruiting our kids.
