How to Make a Pig Puppet
- 1). Fold the hand towel in half.
- 2). Cut out a legless gingerbread man shape. The arm span should be equal to the length between your outstretched pinky and thumb. The neck should be as wide as four of your fingers.
- 3). Cut two rounded triangle ears out of the excess towel material.
- 4). Sew the large button onto the middle of the puppet's face as its nose. Tie the thread on the back side of the towel.
- 5). Sew the smaller buttons for eyes just above and to the side of the nose.
- 6). Lay the half of the body that has eyes and a nose on top of the other, blank half, with the buttons facing down.
- 7). Slide the ears in between the two pieces of fabric two inches apart, their tips pointing inwards at an angle, covering the button eyes and their straight, bottom edges sticking out a 1/8-inch.
- 8). Make a knot at the bottom corner of the puppet. Sew the two pieces of fabric together, leaving a 1/4-inch border. Don't sew the bottom of the puppet closed.
- 9). Turn the puppet right side out. Put the puppet on your hand.
