Making the Most of Your Cala Galdana Holiday

There are plenty of reasons to consider a Cala Galdana holiday! This popular destination in Menorca has stunning white sand beaches and excellent villas and apartments.
However, aside from that, there is so much to see and do the only problem will be where to start! Spend Time On the Beach Whether you're travelling with children or as part of a group of friends you'll almost certainly be planning to spend the majority of your time at the picturesque bay in Cala Galdana.
Holiday time is the perfect excuse to get down in the sand with the kids and spend time building sandcastles! If you're feeling more adventurous, why not take a stroll and get some stunning photographs of the magnificent cliffs; or you might like to hire some snorkelling equipment and head out with the aim of spotting the local fish - such as the Neon Wrasse or Red Mullet.
Visit the Waterpark If you really want to make a splash during your Cala Galdana holiday it's worth visiting the great local waterpark - there's an excellent one about 20 minutes away in Cuitadella.
You'll be able to play about in the shallows while your children have the thrill of jetting down the slippery slides (or vice versa!).
There's also a mini golf course to test your skills.
Enjoy An Equestrian Show One top activity popular with both children and adults is a day at the Club Escola Menorquina.
You'll have the opportunity to see some of the finest Menorcan horses in action, performing their graceful dressage movements.
You can even enjoy one of the jazz or blues performances that take place during the evenings.
Walk Around the Santa Águeda Castle If you're interested in the history of Menorca you'll definitely enjoy a guided tour of the Santa Agueda Castle.
You'll have the opportunity to hear tales about the Arabs, who used this structure as a defence against the forces of King Peter IV.

Look Around a Prehistoric Site Continue the learning experience by visiting the prehistoric site known as Torretrencada.
While here view the mysterious man-made caves and gain an insight into the strange beliefs of an ancient community.

Treat Yourself To Some Menorcan Cuisine You'll discover there are plenty of top quality restaurants in Cala Galdana.
Holidaymakers and locals alike flock to enjoy a variety of traditional tapas and fresh seafood dishes.
You can continue the culinary extravaganza with a visit to the local cheese museum.
Here you can find out all about the preparation of local cheeses, which are primarily composed of cow's milk.
