How to Get Stereo Sound on a Sony Wega KV Series
- 1). Press the "Power" button on the Wega or remote control to activate the set, then press the "TV/Video" button. The sound cannot be adjusted on a Wega while the TV is set to Video. It must be set on TV.
- 2). Press the "Menu" key, then use the up and down arrow keys to access "TV Speakers", pressing the left or right arrow keys to turn the built-in speakers on or off.
- 3). Scroll to "Sound Adjust" with the up and down arrow keys, then use the left and right arrow keys to set the balance control in the center, so that the stereo audio is distributed evenly between the speakers.
- 4). Press the "Display" button while watching a program to determine if the show is in stereo. A small speaker icon wirth curved lines radiating from both sides will appear in the upper right corner to indicate the TV show is presented in stereo.
- 5). Connect a device such as a DVD player to the back of the TV to watch content and listen to stereo sound by connecting the white and red audio cables from the device to the left and right audio inputs on the Wega. The left and right jacks should also be colored white and red for simple identification. Plug the yellow video cable into the video input on the Wega.
- 6). Press the "Input" button on the Wega remote to switch from TV programming to the connected device. The white and red cables must be connected to receive stereo.
