Ready To Lose Your Weight
Losing weight can be put next to quitting smoking, alcohol and other various addictions. Most of us who attempt to recover, abstain and get back on the road to successful weight loss simply fail.
That is obvious, because it is so hard. Take our pleasure away and we are not very happy. Attempting to lose weight on our own through self will and discipline seems almost impossible.
Giving up anything that brings us happiness and comfort... and just quit it? That is a hard order to follow, and therefore most of us will fail.
Gaining weight and becoming obese are results of overeating, lack of exercise and lack of a healthy lifestyle. Almost impossible to break for the most part.
Most overweight people will remain that way for life. It is a sad fact. They will never realize their potential, never fulfill their desires. They will never know how good it feels to breath clearly and exert themselves without huffing and puffing. It's just an unaccomplished desire.
Seeking the magic bullet is all that most overweight people focus. Short term magic weight loss solutions that don't and never will exist.
Weight loss like other addictions will require acceptance of their problem and a conscious effort to do anything and everything possible to achieve what they want for them selves.
Even though we have taken the first important step of acceptance and arranging a good weight loss program or plan, I think that no matter what we attempt, the thought of failure always lingers in the back of our minds, which is normal of course.
But instead of visions of the dark shadows of failure, how about the blinding lights of success! Picturing how we will look after shedding a lot of those pounds.
Bringing us back to focusing on success and not the possibility of failure.
The first step concerning losing weight is all about our mind thoughts. What's it going to be like if I can't eat this or that. Like the alcoholic or drug addict, we are so used to focusing on our next fix, like our next meal.
Shedding these thoughts and replacing them with program and healthy thoughts is no easy task but with all goals, it does take commit ant and a new set of rules concerning thought processes.
We have to keep positive focus and vision of our selves 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 months down the road.
I think it is safe to say that our whole purpose of commencing a weight loss program is to make ourselves feeling better about ourselves and one way we can do that is to feel good about how we appear to others.
Meaning if we lose the weight we want to, we definitely want to keep those extra pounds off, forever. This is the tricky part. The so called maintenance program.
Basically we have to be taught how to deal with our prior triggers. To be able to deal with these triggers as a second nature state of mind. If we dwell on those mouth watering thoughts, it will become precarious.
We need to be equipped to deflate those thoughts and instead, instill positive thoughts and get on with our day instead of being obsessed with thoughts of greasy and unhealthy foods going into our bellies.
We all have bad habits. Now some of us are fine with bad habits and believe it or not, we all have them. Some of are are fine with these habits and they don't do anything to interfere with our lives or how we think about ourselves.
However, for those of us who are not satisfied with ourselves, because of our habits and lifestyle, we can finally come to the conclusion that I am not happy with myself and I want to do something about it.
So when I am asked are you ready to lose weight, I can now confidently say to them, yes.
