The Roots of Barack Obama"s Selective Crises

21
From the outset, when Barack Hussein Obama first announced his candidacy for the presidency of the United States in 2007 and through Election Day, Americans of every political stripe have had serious, if often belated, misgivings regarding a candidate with minimal qualifications and experience with all of two years as a U.S. senator presumptuously vying for the highest office in the land and the position as leader of the Free World.

Unfortunately and wrongly, those concerns were frequently dismissed as baseless reflections of racial prejudice against an African-American.

A few days before that election, liberal Charlie Rose made no reference to that canard but astoundingly admitted to liberal Tom Brokaw on national television that, €I don't know what Barack Obama's worldview is.€ Brokaw responded, €No, I don't either€ and added that, €We don't know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy€ or the people advising him.

In essence, two of Obama €s staunchest supporters were conceding that their chosen presidential candidate was a total enigma.

In short order, although to my knowledge neither Rose nor Brokaw have ever reiterated their qualms, they and the American people have learned a great deal about Obama's thinking on many issues and about his advisers and we are learning more and more every day about his thinking on both foreign and domestic affairs.

Many of his ideologically-driven thoughts and actions have reinforced the view that Obama was woefully and dangerously unprepared for his office.

For example, just recently, America's commander in chief decided that the deadly Ebola virus currently confined mostly to west Africa represents a far greater threat to America and the world than any other problems including ISIS terrorists who have vowed to visit their murderous movement on our country and the rest of Western civilization.

There exists no reasonable doubt that Ebola represents a significant danger to Americans' health and safety but the virus hardly poses an imminent threat anywhere near comparable to ISIS.

In the unlikely event Obama is right in his comparative threat assessment of Ebola, which the UN Security Council has also called a danger to world peace - without singling out the virus as the most pressing world problem - he felt it merited dispatching at least 3,000 combat troops to Liberia to set up treatment centers in lieu of sending them to Iraq despite the fact they are trained for combat and not for construction missions.

Likewise, Obama has determined that in order to crush ISIS in the Mid East, €boots on the ground€ are unnecessary and that America's potent air power, in conjunction with assistance from our coalition allies, is sufficient to wipe out 32,000 ISIS terrorists.

The problems with his €strategy€ are manifold, especially the realities that those supposed allies have refused to commit any ground forces to the struggle, only France and a few others are participating in the aerial bombardment, and our military leaders have taken strong issue with his plan and think deploying troops on the ground is an absolute necessity if we are to defeat ISIS' forces.

Our president seems to believe he possesses unproven expertise far superior to our military professionals.

Our borders are another example of where the former community organizer has demonstrated his perilous navet© toward America' s national security and well-being.

As tens of thousands of illegal aliens pour across the Mexican border, aliens known to include gang members, Muslim terrorists, and the contagiously sick, he decided our Border Patrol agents would better serve American interests by acting as virtual nannies for the invaders. In addition, he and his administration prohibited objective observers and even members of Congress from entering temporary detention centers and have refused to disclose precisely where detainees are being relocated.

Another instance reflecting not as much Obama's navet© but his administration's clear disregard for transparent truth and honesty has been the continuing cover-up of what really happened two years ago in Benghazi, Libya.

The cover-up continues to this day despite the testimony from survivors and multiple witnesses that the murders of Ambassador Chistopher Stevens and three other Americans by radical Islamists could have been prevented had not then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her underlings denied requests for greater security at our Benghazi consulate and then countermanded our military's direct orders to stand down instead of rescuing the vicims of the attack.

Again, the Chicago community organizer and his minions showed they think they know best how to deal with dire threats, including Muslim terrorists - basically by ignoring them.

A final example of Obama demonstrating his less than exemplary leadership is his ceaseless effort to cripple American industry by advocating for restrictions on production of even while China, India, and other developing nations disregard climate change and pollute the atmosphere to a much greater extent than the United States ever did.

Climate change, global warming, is happening today just as it has happened for eons and may, in fact, be caused in a minimal way by human activities such as manufacturing goods and providing energy services that improve the lives and provide employment for hundreds of millions of poor and rich earthlings alike.

Motivated much less in fostering improvement than by his liberal-leftist ideology which dictates that he pursue actions that fail to benefit our nation, America's over-achieving president is gradually driving our country into the oblivion of a Third World status - all in the interests of accomplishing his stated goal of sharing America's wealth via American pain.

Especially now that the president has finally gotten on-board with the rest of the non-Muslim world in agreeing that ISIS represents a major threat, albeit while attributing his former ignorance to lapses on the part of intelligence reports, the failure of people like Charlie Rose and Tom Brokaw to alert Americans that we elected a dangerous enigma to the presidency can be seen as nothing less than criminal inaction.
