10
Moline, Illinois is a vibrant and diverse city with a rich culture and a booming business district. As one of the Quad Cities, it provides many opportunities for entertainment as well as playing host to the headquarters of Deere and Company, Kone US, and the Quad Cities International Airport. Moline has seen massive growth in the past few decades and recently underwent major renovations to revitalize the downtown district with tons of new buildings, homes for sale, condos, and opportunities including the Moline Enterprise Live-Work Lofts: a 69 unit mixed income complex which is in very close proximity to work opportunities and also enables tenants to create work environments in their homes. Recreation is hard to avoid in Moline with its 18 parks and many facilities, including Riverside Park, featuring a baseball and tennis complex and the Riverside Family Aquatic Center, the Green Valley Sports Complex, and the iWireless center, offering everything from concerts to hockey games.

For site–seeing, nothing beats the John Deere Pavilion, located in downtown. Featuring true John Deere farm equipment and a series of rotating exhibits which are educational and interactive, the Pavilion is a great way to spend the day with the whole family. For a close and personal view of the Mississippi is the Channel Cat: a water taxi that takes riders across the river into the East Village of Davenport, IA. The Cat also ferries riders to the Celebration Belle for a grand cruise down the Mississippi that has food, drinks, concerts, shows, and much more. The Bent River Brewery is also located in the city, which features great food and home-brewed drinks in a social and fun atmosphere.

Moline has nine neighborhood associations, which are city-sponsored and engage their residents with neighborhood clean – up days and social activities. There are 15 public schools in the city, twelve elementary, two middle, and one high school, which together educate over 7,500 students. Western Illinois University – Quad Cities, the only college campus on the Mississippi river, is located in Moline along with Black Hawk College. Moline is part of the Quad Cities, which also includes Rock Island, Davenport, IA, and Bettendorf, IA. Once a visitor gets here, travel around eastern Iowa and western Illinois an immensely enjoyable experience which never fails to entertain and always offers new, unique, and exciting experiences.

For those seeking to move to the city, or relocate, we recommend contacting a Quad City real estate company, to help with any of the incedentals, and to let you know which neighborhoods best suit your needs. They can also provide information about schools, daycares, churches and more.
