Make Money With Your Photos

28
Many photography buffs spend large sums on great equipment to take some awesome pictures of their events, family, travels and artistic endeavors yet never share their work with others.
It can be difficult to sell photos, especially when it comes to making contacts or choosing an online site to support the sale of your pictures, especially when they control the price that is charged and take so much of the proceeds.
There are thousands of companies and individuals that search for artwork daily.
You can make money from your photography with the right hosting.
Quality photography often requires large amounts of digital storage, making it difficult to manage your work on your own computer or to create a quality site.
I have several picture files than require 50 mb + of storage.
The existing sites out there that collect a dollar or two for your work may be acceptable to some, but I would rather manage my own photos and create quality sites to share my work.
After some searching and trial and error I discovered photo storage.
For a low annual fee I can store unlimited photos, choose which photos I want to share, if any, and even offer any photos I want to sell.
In my account I have 1,000's of photos.
I have them divided into over 20 sections.
Some are for family and special events like weddings and family reunions, some are set so anyone can view, but not copy, another section contains royalty free pictures anyone can view and download, others are for pictures I offer for sale.
Each has its own display theme.
Most are password protected so I decide who has access.
I am amazed that I can do so much with my photography for such a low cost.
It saves storage space on my computer and I own and control all content.
The site I use even offers various themes I can use or lets me go totally custom on how I display my work.
At one point I scanned 1,000's of photos of my family - aunts, uncles, mom & dad, grandparents, cousins, brothers, nephews, nieces and the kids.
My family can access the photos online according to who has what access permission.
I can even allow which photos the can download or order prints.
For $150 a year I can manage all my photos, make money on those pictures I am willing to sell and save hundreds of dollars having to purchase more back-up storage.
And organizing all the photos is easy.
I could pay only $50 a year, but I want the full experience.
In fact, I more than pay for everything from photo sales.
Whether you are a professional photographer, dabble on the artistic side or just take photos for fun, photo storage is probably for you.
