How to Connect a Phoenix Static Phase Converter
- 1). Go to your home's circuit panel and turn off the main breaker. This will turn off all of the breakers in the circuit panel.
- 2). Run a 220-volt electrical wire from the circuit panel to the phase converter. Run the electrical wire with metal or flexible conduit.
- 3). Strip 1/2 an inch of insulation from the end of the electrical wires. Attach the end of this electrical wire to the “L1“ and “L2” terminals on the phase converter with a screwdriver. Attach the bare ground wire to the “Ground” terminal on the phase converter.
- 4). Position the phase converter upright near the equipment that you want to operate. Secure to the wall by with screws using the power drill.
- 5). Attach the three-load wires from the equipment you need to operate to the “T-1” and “T-2” terminals on the phase converter. The third wire needs to be attached to the “T-3” terminal.
- 6). Connect the electrical wire to your circuit panel. To ensure this wiring is done to local code you should hire a licensed electrician to make the proper connections.
