Papyrus

• 1). Tear the brown bag into strips 1 inch wide. Put a towel on the table and lay paper towels over it.
  
  
• 2). Mix equal parts of white glue and water in a bowl and dip the strips into the glue mixture. Lay the strips flat onto the paper towels, overlapping the edges of each strip. Use the side of your hand to press the paper flat. Place another layer of strips on top of the first, with the second layer of strips positioned perpendicular to the first.
  
  
• 3). Let the paper dry. Once dried, use markers to decorate the paper.
  
  

Cartouche

• 1). Mix the flour, salt and water together in a bowl until a soft dough is formed.
  
  
• 2). Roll the dough flat, to 1/4 inch thick. Shape the dough into an oval shape.
  
  
• 3). Use a toothpick to draw hieroglyphics into the dough. Use a straw to make a hole in the top of the oval.
  
  
• 4). Allow the dough to dry and thread a piece of yarn through the hole at the top of the oval to make a hanging decoration or necklace.
