Unzipping a Zip File with WinRAR

• 1). Right-click on the zip file and select "Open with > WinRAR Archiver" to open the zip file in WinRAR. The WinRAR software will start up and the contents of the zip file will be shown in the interface.
  
  
• 2). Select the contents that you wish to unzip from the zip file. Click on the folders and/or files that you want to extract. If you want to unzip all of the files, press "Ctrl" and "A" to select all of the files.
  
  
• 3). Press "Alt" and "E" to extract the files to a specified folder. A new file browser window will pop up so you can choose the location of your soon to be extracted contents.
  
  
• 4). Select a location where you want to unzip your files. Click "OK" to extract your files and finish the unzipping process.
  
  

Unzipping a Zip File with 7-Zip

• 1). Right-Click the Zip file you wish to Unzip and select "7-Zip > Open Archive" to open the file with the 7-Zip software. The software will start up in a new window, displaying the contents of your zip file in a table with the 7-Zip software interface.
  
  
• 2). Select the contents that you wish to unzip from the zip file. Click on the folders and/or files that you want to extract. If you want to unzip all of the files, press "Ctrl" and "A" to select all of the files.
  
  
• 3). Click on the "Extract" button at the top of the 7-Zip interface. A new window will pop up asking for the directory in which you want to unzip your files. Click on the "..." button to open a file browser to pick a location, or manually type in a folder directory in the "Copy To:" field.
  
  
• 4). Click "OK" to extract your files. A box will pop up displaying the status of the file extraction and will close when the process is finished.
