Ford Explorer Speaker Removal
- 1). Loosen and remove the two Phillips screws located above the door-release handle. Pry out the trim around the release handle with a panel tool.
- 2). Pry around the edges of the door panel with a panel tool to release the retaining clips holding the door panel on. Lift the door panel straight up and off the door when the clips are released.
- 3). Unscrew the four 7/32-inch screws holding the speaker in place with your 7/32-inch socket, ratchet, and extension. Pull the speaker out of the door opening and unplug the connector on the back.
- 1). Remove the two Phillips screws above the door-release handle. Slide the switch and ashtray panel towards the front of the vehicle and then lift it up and out of the door.
- 2). Pry around the edges of the door with a panel tool to release the retaining clips holding it in place. Lift the panel straight up when the panel is loose and remove it from the door.
- 3). Unscrew the four 7/32-inch screws holding the speaker in place with your 7/32-inch socket, ratchet, and extension. Pull the speaker out of the door opening and unplug the connector on the back.
