How to Tie Multiple Crappie Jigs on a Line
- 1). Cut three lengths of leader from the end of the main fishing line. Use scissors to cut three lengths that are each 12 to 15 inches long to be used as leaders for the multiple crappie jig rig.
- 2). Tie a three-way swivel onto the end of the main fishing line with a Uni knot. Moisten the knot before pulling down tight and trim excess line from the knot with scissors.
- 3). Tie a 12 to 15-inch length of monofilament leader to the two remaining swivel eyes of the three-way swivel. Use a Uni knot once again to securely tie the leaders to the three-way swivel.
- 4). Attach a crappie jig to one of the 12 to 15-inch monofilament leader lengths with a Uni or Palomar knot. Place a sliding egg weight on the other monofilament leader length.
- 5). Attach a barrel swivel to the end of the leader length on which the sliding egg weight was placed. Use a Uni knot to secure the barrel swivel to the leader.
- 6). Attach a second crappie jig to the end of the leader that is attached to the barrel swivel. Tie the jig securely in place with a Palomar or Uni knot.
