• The makers of the Sauna Belt state that these belts can be set to different temperatures to help relieve different ailments. For example, the makers of these belts claim that a temperature of about 86 degrees help promote blood circulation. They also claim a temperature around 104 degrees can help relax muscles and relieve pain. A slightly higher temperature is claimed to help dissolve fat. However, in all likelihood, the weight loss comes from sweating out water, not the burning of fat.
  
  

Size

• The Sauna Belt is fairly small and may be worn under clothing. Most of these belts are 2 inches thick and about 24 inches long. Longer belts can be purchased. Because Sauna Belt makers state that one of the functions of the heat belt is to assist in dissolving fat, the belt is often worn around the waist.
  
  

Considerations

• Although in some ways the Sauna Belt seems too good to be true, some physical therapists and massage therapists recommend Sauna Belts to their patients to help relax muscles and reduce stress in areas of the body where the belt is placed. However, a normal heat pad could relax a person's muscles in the same way.
  
  

Time Frame

• The makers of the Sauna Belt say that the belt should not be worn for more than six weeks in a row without stopping for a week. They claim you may then start to use the belt again for another six weeks.
  
  

Warning

• When wearing a Sauna Belt, do not make it so tight that you cannot see the skin when pulling out on the belt. Because burns and irritation can occur, check the skin underneath the belt every 10 minutes.
