How to Design Your Own High Heels
- 1). Go to your selected website and choose the style of high heel. Options vary between websites but you can typically choose between open, pointy or rounded toe, as well as the height of the heel. Pay attention to the heel height because it can affect the price. If you don't feel like starting from scratch, go to the "shoe gallery" and select the "customize" button below one of the ready-made shoes.
- 2). Choose your color and fabric. Depending on the style of shoe, you can choose if you want a single fabric shoe or if you want to combine two different patterns. Fabric choices range from fish skin to patent leather to suede. The type of fabric you choose will also affect the price.
- 3). Add details. Choose from a plethora of piping, bows, flowers and ruffles, each of which accent your unique creation. The embellishments can color coordinate with the rest of the shoe or contrast with the other colors to add some extra pop.
- 4). Preview your shoe. Look at the shoe from multiple angles: you want to make sure your shoes scream "gorgeously unique" rather than "went crazy with a bottle of die and box of animal skin." Carefully check the finished product to ensure that your design accurately translates your vision.
- 5). Enter your payment and shipping information and wait for your confirmation email. Depending on the company, shipping charges can be as high as $25 so be sure to factor this into your budget when designing your high heels.
