Erica Hill Biography
A native of Clinton, Conn., Erica Ruth Hill was born in July 1976 and knew quickly that she wanted to be a news reporter. Well, at least by the mid-1990s when she attended Boston University (go Terriers!) and earned her bachelor's degree in journalism, summa cum laude.
Her first career job was as a production assistant for "PC Week Radio," the magazine's online news radio station. That work led to a successful career as a journalist and co-anchor at TechTV.
Hill's time at TechTV led her to CNN, where she reported on both the 2004 and 2008 presidential campaigns, the war in Iraq and much more. Her success at CNN brought her to CBS and, eventually, to The Early Show as news anchor and weekend co-host.
Then, in January 2011, Hill was promoted to weekday anchor of The Early Show with fellow anchor Chris Wragge.
