A Panic Attack - Its Symptoms and Its Causes

A lot of people have mistakenly gone into a hospital thinking that they are having a heart attack or some sort of serious medical problem only to know that there is nothing wrong.
It is because occasionally panic attacks don't last that long (although it may seems like eternity), it is in comparison to taking your favorite car to a mechanic when every part of it seems to function in tip top shape.
Panic attack is the abrupt onset of extreme anxiety, depicted by emotions of severe fear and nervousness.
The attack symptoms do have significant difference from other kinds of anxiety.
Symptoms of an attack are the following.
  • Nausea, dizziness or lightheadedness
  • Sweating, trembling, shaking
  • Chest pains
  • Choking
  • Sudden chills or hot flashes
  • Breathing difficulty
  • Fast heartbeat
  • Almost paralyzing terror
  • Fear that would almost makes you nuts or even feel like dying
  • Tingling in toes or fingers
Are you familiar with the following symptoms? Of course you are, because almost all of these symptoms are felt normally in times of danger but during an attack it seems to be coming from nowhere.
The duration of an attack varies from victim to victim.
For some it could last for 15 seconds but for some it could even last for hours.
Our body could only take that much.
An individual is usually tired after an attack.
What triggers an attack? Panic attack could be triggered by what we do to our body and the way we think.
Sometimes it is inherited because all ethnic has it in their genes.
Women on the other hand are as twice to have panic disorders than men.
Our mind has the most influence in having an attack.
Individuals who had once experience an attack is most likely to avoid the situations that they thought could have caused it.
Dealing with stress is what everyone must do because failure to do so may lead to panic attacks.
