How to Use Credit Card Cheques
- 1). Obtain a credit card check for the credit card account you would like to use. In many cases, credit card users will receive these periodically without requesting them. If you have not received any checks and would like to use one, call your credit card company and ask it to send you some.
- 2). Read the fine print on the paperwork that comes with the checks so you are aware of the conditions that apply to its use. This includes the interest rate, fees and the date before which the check must be used.
- 3). Look up your current available credit so you know the maximum amount you can write on the check. If you overdraw your account through writing a check for too much, the check may bounce or you may be charged over-limit fees.
- 4). Write the credit card check as you would a check for a checking account. This includes writing the name of the person or business to which it is payable, the amount of the check and your signature at the bottom.
