Is it Not I, the Lord?

31
Most of us Christians know that Jesus is the Lord and King.
He is the One who gives us our very life.
Some may say well how do you know this.
Well the Bible tells us.
If you would look in the Book of Exodus 4:11 This is what he tells Moses, it says The Lord said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.
First we must understand the meaning of Lord.
The dictionary explains it as meaning a king, ruler, or commander, etc.
The Strongs dictionary explains it as coming from the root adowm which means sovereign i.
e.
controller( human or divine)-lord, master, owner.
In the Book of Psalms 94:9 it says Does he who implanted the ear not hear? Does he who formed the eye not see? Does he who disciplines nations not punish? Does he who teaches man lack knowledge? The Lord knows the thoughts of man; he knows that they are futile.
Isaiah the prophet spoke of this also in the Book of Isaiah 50:4 he says The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary.
He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.
The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears, and I have not been rebellious; I have not drawn back.
Jeremiah, another prophet says in the Book of Jeremiah 1:9 Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth.
We can come to the reality of Jesus Christ, when we look at the Book of Matthew in Chapter 11 verse 4 it says Jesus replied, "Go back and report to John what you hear and see; The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, and the dead are raised, and good news is preached to the poor.
Blessed is the man who dose not fall away on account of me.
Yes it is the Lord that gives us strength and cures us in all cases.
Now look in the Book of Mark 13:11 it says Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, (because of the gospel) do not worry beforehand about what to say.
Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
This is also mention in the Book of Luke 21:14 it says But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.
For I will give you words and wisdom that none of our adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.
Jesus is always there, no mater what the we encounter.
The Book of Proverbs sums it up in Chapter 20:12 it says Ears that hear and eyes that see-the Lord has made them both.
The Book of Proverbs is the guide for living, I suggest reading the whole Book.
What a Blessing it is to have ears that hear and eyes that see and a brain that thinks and makes decisions.
Hopefully the right one.
In closing, I would like to say, it is the Lord that gives me the privilege to hear, see, and live healthy everyday.
In fact at one time I was having heart failure and didn't know it and had no pain, just water pouring out of my legs.
Of course I went to the hospital.
It was the Lord that allowed me to live.
What a Blessing!! When you have Jesus favor nothing can harm you, and He will be their for you.
