How to Obtain a Pakistani Birth Certificate
- 1). Access the Consulate General of Pakistan Los Angeles website, click on the Consular Services then click on the "Birth Certificate" button. Click on the “Application” link and print out the application in black and blue ink. Take a copy of your Pakistani passport.
- 2). Prepare your fees. The Pakistani Consulate accepts a money order or a cashier’s check. Make one of them payable to the Consulate General of Pakistan. As of 2010, the price of a rushed birth certificate is $10, while a non-rushed birth certificate is $5.
- 3). Put the filled out application, a copy of your passport and the payment into an envelope. Put “Birth Certificate Application” in the right corner of the envelope. Each state has a Consulate General of Pakistan. Look up your state to get the address to your closest office.
- 4). Mail the envelope. The U.S. Postal Service can provide a tracking number that can help you track your package. It takes more than five business days to get your birth certificate.
