How to Apply to Multiple Life Insurance Companies
- 1). Go to the insurance provider that you have your health and/or car insurance with. Most often these companies are going to offer life insurance and may offer it at a discounted rate because of you have multiple insurance policies with them.
- 2). Look through the different policies the company provides. Select the amount of coverage you want and the insurance agent will give you the required paperwork. This is going to consist of your name, address, Social Security number and beneficiaries. You may also need to fill out a questionnaire regarding your smoking habits, previous heart issues and maybe even sexual activity.
- 3). Many insurance companies require you to have a medical exam before it insures you. If no examination is required, you may only need to have a blood sample taken or have your mouth swabbed. As long as you clear the physical examinations, the company is going to insure you and, upon your first payment, your coverage begins.
- 4). Ask your employer if they provide life insurance. If so, this may be an inexpensive form of additional coverage. Oftentimes, businesses cover some of the expenses, allowing you to have the life insurance for only a few dollars a month.
- 5). Shop around for additional coverage. It is important to see if it is a better deal to purchase another policy or simply add onto the policy you already have.
