2012 was a good year for lesbian movies. The year brought a few love stories, romantic comedies, foreign lesbian films and lesbian documentaries. My friend Andrea Wing of BuskFilms helped compile this list of Top Lesbian Films of 2012.


1. Kiss Me

Kiss Me (Kyss Mig) is on the top of about everyone’s favorite lesbian film list of 2012. In this Swedish film, Mia and Frida meet at their parent’s engagement party. The two are about to become stepsisters, but other emotions come into play. This sexy and sweet love story will stay with you for a long time.More »

Out lesbian filmmaker Nicole Conn (Elana Undone) brings us a story of a woman who’s life seems perfect, except for the one secret she’s hiding.

This Israeli film is a dark comedy of falling in love and disposing of a body. Set in the violent region of Sderot, combines a story of love and violence in a way that manages to almost come across as a romantic comedy.
