Some Website Essentials... Ignored!

12
In order to make a great website, companies tend to forget the most general details that are essential. Keeping web design aside, there is a set of things which one should not ignore to put into a website. You can also refer to some web professionals and go for interviews to confirm that. Web designers aren't suggesting everything that you need; it's up to you to decide what could make things easier for your customers.

One major mistake made by the companies is that they forget to put their phone number and physical address on the website. Instead, they develop 10-20 questions based FAQ, and they believe that every question that a customer has in mind will be answered through the list of questions given in the list. They put a contact form, but they don't prefer to put contact number. When you do that, it gives an impression to your customers that you're avoiding them, and it doesn't convey a sense of trust. So, do you a favour, don't be afraid to get a phone call. Don't be afraid of people to write you, and don't be afraid of your customers actually stop by. It will help your business a lot, as it is a high-tech world, but don't forget the high touch aspect of customer service and customer relationship.

Another mistake that a lot of businesses make is that they design a site with a black background. The black background puts the shadow effect on the eyes. When you look at it as a visitor of the site, you will be able to see the content because any colour on black pops. However, within 15-20 seconds, you're going to get a shadow effect in your eyes, and when you look away from the screen, that shadow effect continues to appear. So, if you can, avoid having a black background as much as possible.

Some businesses fail to include a detailed €About us' and €Company' section. Customers want to know about you, they want to know the people behind the business, where they've worked, and how they look like. Don't forget to include both of this information on your website, as you should not be afraid to share the company's personality. The currency that you're trading in online is trust. One of the best ways to make people understand if they can trust you is by knowing the background of people that work in your company.

The quality of their thoughts will make the final decision, but ensure that they are engaging in the given information. There is nothing to be afraid of if you're putting pictures of employees, as this goes all the way down to customer services well. If the people that your customer service is talking to the most, and they are pro in this field, and don't be afraid to display pictures of stars on your team. They will feel more attached to the company, and your customers will love it too.
