Romantic Ways to Propose at Dinner
- 1). Take your soul mate out to an exotic dinner location. Chinese, german, or sushi are all very exotic types of food with a terrific atmosphere. Think of a way you can ask the question through the culture. For example, Chinese meals always finish off with a simple fortune cookie. Utilize the culture at hand. Embrace it, and consider a creative way to ask the question through that culture.
- 2). Make her favorite dish! Proposing at dinner is always perfect to go along with your future spouse's favorite meal or dish. If she loves sweets, make a whole platter of sweets for desert. If she loves fish, cook up her favorite fish and add a unique twist. After the meal is finished, get on your knees and propose the ultimate question to her.
- 3). Take her out for a casual picnic. This is especially useful if you plan to propose in the summer or spring--and have close access to a beautiful scenic point. Take her there. Create a simple assortment of picnic sandwiches and food. Sit and watch the sunset. Either propose to her as the sun sets, or wait until after it's done, and you can see the city lights. Both are very romantic and a perfect way to spend a night together that will end in a marriage proposal.
- 4). Fix an irritable habit. For example, if you have a family pet that constantly feeds under the table, pretend like you are irritated the dog is nibbling on some junk below. Dive down under the table and play along, pretending to struggle to push the dog away. Pop your head up on the other side of the table, the side she is sitting on, and extend your arm with the ring. This is a very fun and unique way to propose.
- 5). Play your guitar. Do you have musical talent? Nothing capture's a woman's heart better than singing to her, especially if the song has meaning. In this case, write a song with lyrics ending with the big question. If you have a band, invite them over, but act like you are not expecting them. After the door bell rings, open the door, and start playing the song to gain her attention. Writing and reciting poetry is always a good way to propose.
- 6). Create a riddle. Riddles are perfect to distract her attention and play a fun little game. Have her go all around town, unlocking these "clues" that eventually lead her back to the house. When she walks inside, she will discover a candlelit table with her favorite dish. Get on your knees and pop the question. It will take her off guard.
