Is Part Time Blogging Worth It?
I have been thinking about this a lot recently.
For two reasons: 1.
I am a part time blogger (I work full-time as a builders labourer) 2.

A lot of people look at blogs like JohnChow.
com, Problogger.
net and ShoeMoney.
com and see how much money the probloggers are making and think that they can do exactly the same - while holding a full-time job, school, uni or whatever else.
But if you look at the majority of the bloggers that are making money, you will notice that the majority of them are doing it full-time, or they are experts in their chosen fields.
Does That Mean We Should Give Up Blogging? No way.
I just think a lot of people come into blogging thinking it will be a get rich quick scheme.
That they just have to make a couple of posts and the money will start pouring in.
But it's not the case.
Your blog is just like any other business.
The amount that you get out of it is a direct relationship of what you put into it.
Start Small.
Start Building The good thing you have is that you are already able to support yourself with whatever you are currently doing - so there is no need for your blog to start over performing straight away.
So just start blogging.
Don't worry about making it big, or having a feed count of 100+, just get into a rhythm of regular posting and networking.
Networking is the key when it comes to building a successful blog.
Whether it be blog commenting, forums, social networking or any of the many ways, networking is vital.
I would recommend spending the majority of your blogging time on networking.
Sure make you post great, but don't spend forever on them - focus on networking! Expand Your Thinking One of the things mentioned in Probloggers post is that it is hard for a part-time blogger to make money directly from their blog.
A lot of bloggers are realizing this and looking at different products and services that they can create to start building their incomes.
Products such as ebooks and courses.
These are things that can rapidly increase the income of your blog.
