Winning Friends With Yin Yang

10
Yin yang is the dualism that exists in everything in the Universe.
They are like the head and the tail of a coin, and men and women of the human beings.
Yin cannot exist without yang, and yang cannot exist without yin.
It's just like the head of a coin would be non-existent, if the tail does not exist.
Similarly, men would not be men that we know of without women.
Yin and yang apply to the ways you handle human relationships as well.
In every situation where a person interacts with others, an energy field of yin yang is created.
If one feels the interaction is smooth and comfortable, it signals yin yang balance.
When there is an imbalance in the two forces, conflicts of a different scales emerge.
The next round when you are faced with a heated argument with others, try to manage the yin and yang forces of the energy field that you are in, and see how you can win, rather than lose, a friend.
Specifically, try to tilt the yin and yang forces and blend them into a positive energy field, and see how the energy field is changed in the process.
During the argument, instead of rebuttal, try silence.
In an argument, contention is yang, and silence is yin.
When silence is introduced during an argument, you are injecting the yin energy into an energy field dominated by yang.
The surge in the yin energy can cool the yang energy.
When this happens, the energy field is altered, and moves toward an amicable yin and yang balance, which is beneficial to both parties.
What would happen if you do just the contrary? If, instead of introducing silence, you argue.
Imagine how the energy field would be altered? When this happens, you are bringing more yang energy into the energy field that is already very yang in nature.
The already high yang energy level rises further -- potentially this can lead to an explosion! A result could be that the situation go out of hand, turning the situation acrimonious.
This is like what Lao Tzu depicts in the following verse:
"Tao engenders One; One engenders Two; Two engenders Three; Three engenders all things.
All things carry the yin (femininity) while embrace the yang (masculinity).
Neutralising energy brings them into harmony.
"
Loa Tzu Tao Te Ching quotes (42)
In the example that we mentioned, the silence is one, and the argument two.
When they mingle in the way that you manage to turn the situation positive, a new yin-yang situation emerges, which is known as three.
Make the 'three' in your favour, if you want to win a friend.
