Top 5 FREE Applications for your Online Business
You have set up your very own online business, but which applications should every entrepreneur have in their possession. The truth is that there are that many you are spoilt for choice. They can also range dramatically from being free to the highly expensive sort.
After many years in business and lots of sole searching I have listed my top five that you should never be parted from:
1. TweetDeck - This has to be the best ever free application to use with Twitter. The day I installed this, my opinion of getting the most out of my Twitter account changed. I realised it was a lot easier than I first thought. I love the idea that you can Tweet to several people at once and organise all your Twitter friends accordingly this is really important if you have a lot of followers too. Think of it like this what if you had 30,000 people following you could you honestly cope with all the messages coming through. As it is on your desktop you can also decide on what size you want it to be as you might have other things to do other than using Twitter.
Here are a few of the things you can do with it:
*Manage your feeds so that you can focus on certain subjects
*A specific @replies section so that you can see whenever someone replies to you
*You can follow certain Twitters by filtering appropriate information
*Check on automated updates
*View your Direct Messages very quickly
2. Check the speed of your USB Flash Drive - I am the typical person that has growth up among the vast amounts of new technology compared to the 1990's where the floppy disk was about the best we had. But now the USB Flash Drive has taken over and there in no wonder with how good it is. The biggest bonus to me is the ability to hold a great amount of data on such a small gadget. If you were heading to the library you can very easily stick it in your jeans pocket without the need to take a bag with you or worry about it breaking.
The downside to them though is that we have a habit of losing them. Then they all turn up at once with different amounts of data on each of them. This is were this software comes into practice, it is wonderful to know the exact speed of each of them so that we can get rid of the slow performers and have the fastest speed on our Flash Drives.
3. Converting our PDF Files for free - All you have to do is Google PDF converters and many different ones will come up. But the truth is that many are useless, some you have to pay for and others will crash half way through converting. The biggest let down are those that are advertised as free but then when you enter your details you are soon prompted for your credit card details.

4. The best drawing tool - Drawing your very own images for a Blog or Website can be one of the trickiest tasks that you could ever under take. Then you have the heartbreaking thought of how much these programs cost you. But there are wonderful programs out there if you know where to look that will allow you to do this for free. I have just started using Draw Anywhere as the name indicates you can literally do it wherever you want. All you need is an internet connection, you log on to your account and share your images with others or alternatively keep them to yourself - the choice is yours!
5. The best software to send large email attachments - This has to be my biggest problem in business and in pleasure. Within business there is always some kind of software we want to pass to each other via electronic mail and don't forget the nightmare will all suffered when the internet first became big business. Those relatives that live abroad that insisted on sending twenty pictures from a recent family event to you and it coming back as one bleared image as the email provider simply couldn't cope with it. Nowadays people tend to use free download websites to avoid these incidents but you really don't need to especially with 2large2email it is a truly remarkable application that I cant live without. You can even send up to 100MB for FREE.
These are just five types of free applications that can make your life so much easier. If you put just these few into practice you can be saving yourself a lot of time and effort and start to really enjoy your IT experience.
