The Positive Mind Set

I meet all kinds of people in my day-to-day life, some successful, some struggling to survive. One thing I've noticed different about these people is attitude. Those that are successful have for the most part a positive attitude and those struggling have a negative one.

Now maybe this doesn't mean anything to you, but to me it suggests one of two things. Successful people feel positive because they're successful or they are successful because they think positively. I believe they are both true.

So what if those people who are struggling put aside their negative mindset and adopted a positive outlook on life, 100% of the time, or as close as possible. Would they indeed continue to struggle throughout their lives or would conditions change and prosperity begin to find its way into it?

The answer is they would be much closer to realizing the life of their desires with a positive mindset. Of course nothing is assured, but a positive mindset is always going to take you farther than a negative one.

I know it is hard to be positive all the time, but when you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts or when someone introduces negative ideas stop and think of all the things you are grateful for in your life. Gratitude is a great leveler and showing gratitude is one of the best ways to gain favor with the source.

There is nothing that cannot be overcome with the proper mind set, gratitude and desire. Of course you need to be consistent with all three and make them a normal, everyday occurrence that encompasses most if not all of each day.

To help you with your mindset here are some practical applications you can do. They will bring you closer to obtaining your goals and keep your mind otherwise occupied to keep it from drifting into negative thoughts.

1. Clarify exactly what you want and ask the source of all things for it.
2. Be grateful for all that you have and all that you are about to receive.
3. Rid yourself of any limiting beliefs you may have. Know that all things are possible.
4. Rid yourself of the competitive mindset. The creative mind is a much better place to reside.
5. Prepare yourself to receive and be grateful for all you have asked for from the source.

Once you have adopted a positive mindset you should see a dramatic change in your life. Things that seemed unrealistic now become possible. You will like the life you have and be grateful for the things that make your life better, knowing all the while that things are just going to keep getting better.

As Winston Churchill said, "As for myself, I'm an optimist. It doesn't make any sense to be anything else."

Take these words for what they are worth and know that you too can live life and be happy, prosperous and healthy when you adopt a positive mind set.
