How do I Install an Alpine CDA 9825 Car Stereo?
- 1). Lift the vehicle's hood, and use your adjustable wrench to loosen the bolt that secures the negative battery cable clamp to the negative battery lead post. Lift the cable from the post, and keep it away from the battery terminals until after you have installed Alpine deck.
- 2). Remove factory stereo from the dashboard dock following your vehicle's repair manual. Disconnect the stereo wiring and antenna cable from the outlets on the rear panel of the unit.
- 3). Insert the faceplate adapter into the vacant stereo mounting dock. Feed the stereo wiring and antenna cable through the back of the adapter and into the front of the dash. Plug the stereo wiring into the wiring harness adapter. Consult the wiring harness adapter manual for exact connection locations, or follow the color code on the harness itself.
- 4). Plug the wiring harness adapter leads into the outlets on the right side of the Alpine deck's rear panel. Plug the antenna cable into the FM antenna outlet on the left side of the deck. Use an antenna adapter to connect the antenna cable from a GM vehicle to the Alpine CD player.
- 5). Slide the CDA-9825 into the faceplate adapter. Push the unit into the stereo dock until it locks into place. Replace any dash panels you took out while removing the factory stereo. Consult the repair manual for precise final installation steps. Return to the battery.
- 6). Place the negative battery cable clamp back around the battery terminal. Tighten the bolt on the clamp with the wrench. Close the hood.
