If you have an iPad, an iPhone, or a Mac, no matter what type they are, you can connect to the internet over a Wi-Fi network.
Wi-Fi or Wireless Fidelity is the technology that allows you to connect to the Internet through a working network.
There are a lot of devices like laptops, hand-handled game consoles, portable media players that can get you online.
When you turn on your iPad and try to access the applications like Safari, a box with a lot of network names may appear on screen.
These names actually suggest you the networks that you can join in.
Just find your network, establish the password if it's necessary and start surfing.
There are cases in which you are not prompted to join a wireless network.
In these situations, you must set up your WI-Fi connection for the first time.
These are the steps:

1. Go in Home settings on your iPad, select Settings, than Wi-Fi and tap the On button.
   
2. The next box that will appear is the Choose a network.
   Just do that.
   in short tine a list with nearby networks will pop.
   If you sit in a crowded place, the list can be very big.
   Search for the name of your own home network and join.
   
3. It is recommended to put a password key on your network.
   Why? Because in this way you can keep away freeloaders and intruders to connect to you network and "eat" your bandwidth.
   The secured or locked up networks are marked with a padlock icon.
   

When the blue-tooth icon is beaming, it means that you are connected to the Internet.
Star your YouTube or Safari and enjoy the ride.
If the blue-tooth icon is not gleaming, try to retype carefully the password or repeat the steps above mentioned.
At the same time, make sure that your home network is running properly.
