Complications

There were 28 complications in the 181 patients during a cumulative total of 585 procedures (4.8%). During the first and second procedures, there were 17 complications in 362 procedures (4.7%) compared to 11 complications in 223 (4.9%) third and fourth procedures (Table 2). There were no significant differences in the rate of complications between those undergoing first and second ablations compared with those undergoing third and fourth ablations.
