How to Make a Battery-Powered Amplifier
- 1). Cut four pieces of electrical wire. Remove 1/2 inch of insulation from each wire end. Place the first ring terminal over one end of the first wire and solder the terminal to the wire end. Place the other ring terminal over one end of the second wire and solder the terminal to the wire end.
- 2). Twist together the free end of the first wire with the transistor collector terminal and with one end of the 100-kiloohm resistor. Solder this connection. Twist together one end of the third wire to the free end of the 100-kiloohm resistor and solder the wire to the resistor end.
- 3). Twist together one end of the 1-megaohm resistor with one end of the 1.5-kiloohm resistor and one end of the fourth wire. Solder this connection.
- 4). Twist together the free end of the 1-megaohm resistor with the transistor base lead and the free end of the first wire. Solder the electrical joint.
- 5). Twist together the free end of the 1.5-kiloohm resistor with the transistor emitter lead and solder the joint. Attach the free end of the fourth wire to the battery's negative terminal. Attach the free end of the third wire to the battery's positive terminal.
