How to Upgrade the Hard Drive for the Fujitsu T4215

    Hard Drive Location on Bottom

    • 1). Turn the LifeBook off and disconnect the power cord.

    • 2). Close the LifeBook and turn it face down.

    • 3). Remove the LifeBook's battery. The hard drive cover cannot be removed if the battery is on the computer.

    • 4). Remove the screw holding the hard drive cover. Slide the cover to the right to remove it. The cover only has one screw.

    • 5). Remove the two screws holding the caddy. Slide the caddy to the left to take it out.

    • 6). Slide the new hard drive into the caddy. Slide the assembly back into the computer.

    • 7). Replace the screws that hold the caddy. Replace the cover and cover screw.

    • 8). Replace the battery and turn the computer over.

    • 9). Plug the power cord in and boot the computer.

      Wait while the computer recognizes the new drive.

    Built-In Drive on Side

    • 1). Turn the computer off and remove the power cord.

    • 2). Remove the battery.

    • 3). Unlock the built-in drives release button and slide the cover down.

    • 4). Remove the drive by sliding it out.

    • 5). Insert the new built-in drive and lock the cover.

    • 6). Replace the battery and the power cord.

    • 7). Reboot the computer and wait for the computer to recognize the new drive.
