Privatization of Space and Politics Ignite Future Launches

6
Recently in Dallas, TX former Vice President Al Gore went to the Space Conference and used this platform to bash the Bush Administration? Well that is certainly going to win friends and influence people? If the former Vice President really cared about the future of space then he ought to use more diplomacy and statesman like conduct during such endeavors.
One scientist I talked to said; Such hypocrisy.
On one hand he talks about bringing people together around the world and building a seamless policy between government and industry and then bashes Government Leadership? So, you see such a negative public campaign is unhealthy to the future and forward progression of mankind in space.
We must discuss and debate the issues without the vindictive commentary of past periods.
Indeed in my humble opinion that is completely the wrong message.
Al Gore mentioned Hubristic Pride and to that point of "Hubristic" well why not give Mr.
Gore a mirror? Al Gore uses his speeches to lambaste the President of the United States often enough regardless of subject matter from Stem Cells to the Global Warming Debate, which he now calls the Climate Crisis in order to gather support from industry and Climate Change advocates.
This Bush Bashing needs to stop, it is negative and will only cause a reciprocal response and that is hardly good for the future of Space or our atmosphere.
Indeed, Al Gore talking about Iraq and comparing that to anything about the United States' leadership position in the future of Space is out of line.
Let us all get on the same page and allow Al Gore to cool off so that the intellectual pursuit of the right strategy prevails.
Perhaps this article will propel thought in 2007.
