    • 1). Launch Windows Live Movie Maker. Click File > Open Project and open the movie project file that contains the dark image that you want to adjust.

    • 2). Click and highlight the image in the Movie Maker timeline and storyboard pane on the right of the program window.

    • 3). Click the “Visual Effects” tab in the main menu ribbon. Click the “Brightness” button to the right of the “Effects” group in the menu ribbon.

    • 4). Move the slider to the right to increase the brightness level of the highlighted image.

    • 5). Click the “Play” button under the movie preview window on the left-hand side of the program window. View your movie to check how the brightness level of the modified image will look in the final movie. Continue to tweak the brightness by moving the slider left or right until you’re happy with the result.

    • 6). Click File > Save Project to save the movie project, or click File > Save Movie to save the project as a movie file on your computer.
