How Do You Get Past the Stump, Being an Entrepreneur?
Ok.
So here I am with an idea for a business: Food With Care By Jennifer.
A small catering business run by myself, as a part-time secondary income.
I have spent so much time working on it, trying to put it together.
So far this is just an idea.
I am feeling the pressure of trying to make it work, but yet I am only just in the beginning stages.
I know that if I were to establish a clientele, I could do this.
It could be successful, and I could be doing this full time.
When this idea came to me, I thought "Wow! This is a great idea and I am going to create a business for myself.
" Than I began the work.
Days and days at my computer, my son begging for a moment of my time, I felt like I had accomplished something by the end of the first week.
Yet, here I am stumped.
How do I continue? How do I promote? How do I make it legal? So many questions, and I don't have the knowledge to answer these questions, nor do I have the money to pay for the knowledge that would answer these questions.
The problem with being an entrepreneur is that everyone has their hands in your pockets before you even get a chance to take you idea off the ground.
I would love to have the money to invest in my idea, but that is not that case.
I am learning everything as I go, and the internet is a vast playing field, with multiple sites that want me to enter credit card numbers in order to continue.
WHERE IS THE FREE STUFF? HA! That is my ultimate question.
And how do I get the free stuff to apply to me without having to enter in my life savings (which by the way is possibly a whole seventy-five cents)? So far, I have found website which will host for me.
Whatever that means, I have no clue, but in order to upgrade my site to my own domain, I need to pay.
So what the hell does that mean? Since this is such an early stage in this process and I don't even understand what that means, does that mean that I should just quit because it will only get more complicated? I definitely do NOT want to do that.
So I have created a website for myself through "Weebly".
The site is fantastic for someone who does not know too much about how to get themselves started.
And I found this site through Google, which was very helpful.
I followed the very simple steps on how to create a website for myself, and I think I did a pretty good job.
Some advice from a friend led me to creating key words for site, to enhance traffic to my site.
This is where I run into even more problems.
How am I supposed to get my site out to people to check me out if I can't even find my site through search engines such as Google? I have tried all of my key words that would initially lead someone to my site.
But there are MILLIONS of sites that come up.
So ho is it possible to get my name close to the top of that list.
Even when I type my website into a search engine, it comes up with nothing.
Does this mean my site does not even exist? This is only scratching the surface to my problems with being an entrepreneur.
I know that I could be a successful business woman if I had the right knowledge and skill to make all this happen.
I have the talent and the ability to feed people to the point of great satisfaction.
This is what I feel I was made to do.
I feel like there was some sign that pointed me in this direction.
I just don't know how to follow the road to success, because it's lined with sticky tar, that keeps you trapped and holds onto all your money before you make it to the end, where it's smooth sailing.
Is it just me, or is can this be easier than I making it out to be? HELP!
