How to Fix a Rusty Dirt Bike Gas Tank
- 1). Remove all fuel from the gas tank.
- 2). Add half a jar of petroleum jelly to a 2 liter bottle with water. Pour the mixture into the empty gas tank. Allow the mixture to sit in the tank for at least 24 hours.
- 3). Empty the tank, then fill the two liter bottle with water and baking soda. Pour the water and baking soda in the tank and let the mixture set for at least two hours.
- 4). Pour the water and baking soda out of the tank and rinse the tank twice with clean water.
- 5). Empty the tank of all water, and spray at least half a can of WD-40 inside the tank.
