This live oak is one of several on the approach to Windsor ruins. Windsor Plantation is the largest antebellum greek revival mansion ever built in Mississippi.

The Windsor live oaks are not in the mansion yard but a part of the overgrown Windsor approach. They are relatively ancient and were probably part of the entrance and landscape during Windsor's hay-day. The trees are in poor condition and unkempt because of the reversion to forest around the mansion.
