How to Change a Flashing Cursor in Vista
- 1). Open your mouse settings. To do this, click on "Start " then select "Control Panel" followed by "Hardware and Sound" then "Mouse."
- 2). Click on the "Pointers" tab to view your cursor options.
- 3). Change your cursor. There are two options for changing the cursor. You may change the entire cursor scheme in the "Scheme" drop-down menu, or change individual cursors in the "Customize" scrolling list. To customize, click on the desired cursor type (e.g. Normal Select, Busy, Help Select), then press the "Browse" button. Double-click on any of the files to set it as the cursor.
- 4). Save your scheme (if desired). Press "Save As," type in the desired scheme name, then press "OK." When satisfied with your cursor changes, press "Apply" then "OK" to save your settings and exit.
