How to Set Up MTA in WHM

    • 1). Open a Web browser application on your computer, and then type "https://IP:2087" into the top address bar. Replace the “IP” portion with the IP address of your web server.

    • 2). Press the “Enter” key. Type “root” into the “Username” field, and then type your password into the “Password” field.

    • 3). Click the “Login” button. Read the license agreement and then click the “I Agree/Go To Step 2” option.

    • 4). Enter your email address that you’d like to be set up with WHM into the “Server Contact Email Address” field.

    • 5). Type your server’s hostname into the “This Server’s Hostname” field. Click the “Save and Go to Step 3” option.

    • 6). Enter the IP address for your server into the “IP Addresses to Add” field. Click the “Add Ip(s)” option and then click the “Go to Step 4” option.

    • 7). Enter a nameserver into the “Nameserver 1” field, if you have a nameserver domain you want to add. Click the “Save and Go to Step 5” option.

    • 8). Select the “MTA” mail server you want to use from the “Mail Server” drop-down list. Click the “Save and Go to Step 6” option.

    • 9). Click the “Finish Setup Wizard” button and the configuration process will be complete. The MTA software will be setup.
