Holiday in Paris
Everybody with a touch of a romantic side has thought about taking a holiday in Paris.
What is it that makes Paris the most romantic city in the world? Could it be the classic movies like An American in Paris where Lise Bouvier says, "Maybe Paris has a way of making people forget.
" To which Jerry Mulligan replies, "Paris? No.
Not this city.
It's too real and too beautiful to ever let you forget anything.
" I think Jerry makes a good point.
A holiday in Paris is not one that you will ever forget, nor would you want to.
You will want to plan for at least a week in Paris to be sure not to miss a thing.
Start your holiday with a Paris Bike About tour, where a tour guide will lead you on a bicycle ride around the city and show you how to find the places that are already on your list to visit.
Listen closely, however, because your guide will also point out lesser known attractions that you won't want to miss, such as where to relax for a bit after the tour.
Stop by the Ecluse Saint Honore and have a glass of Bordeaux.
This cozy wine bar overlooking the pedestrian square at Marche Saint Honore has over 50 Bordeaux choices and a fine French cuisine menu that changes twice annually.
Of course you will want to visit the Eiffel Tower and stroll down the Champs-Elysees.
You probably already know about the Rodeo Drive-like shopping along the Champs-Elysees, but did you know that the finest restaurants in all of Paris are located there, too? One of the most famous dining spots in Paris, in the world, is La Maison Blanche.
This roof-top restaurant is located above the Theatre des Champs-Elysees and offers an ever changing French and Mediterranean menu.
Chances are you will get a table overlooking the beautiful Seine.
Whether you are an art buff or not, you will surely want to see the Mona Lisa and other 19th century art at the largest museum in the world, the Louvre.
Paris is full of wonderful art.
The Rodin Museum boasts of many beautiful sculptures, including those by Auguste Rodin dating back to 1840.
For a more modern taste of Parisian art, visit the Musee Maillol - Fondation Dina Vierny.
Vierny was artist Aristide Maillol's muse and can be seen many times throughout the museum.
You will want to set aside a minimum of two full days to spend at Euro Disney.
Some travel experts suggest three to four days to experience all that Disneyland Paris has to offer.
Only about a 35 minute drive east from Paris, Euro Disney offers two full sized theme parks.
One park like Disneyland, California and the other modeled after Disneyworld (MGM), Florida.
I haven't forgotten to tell you where to stay while on your holiday in Paris.
I just assumed you already had a place in mind.
Of course, you will want to spend the week with Paris Hilton (located next to the Eiffel Tower).
