Bar Salsa 2 for 1 with TAKETWO!
On 3rd September, taketwo put they're dancing shoes on as they went to Bar Salsa, the number one authentic Latin venue. The bar brings together all the colours, style and the culture of Central and South America, with the help of vibrant and contemporary décor. Bar Salsa offers a range of live music, dance shows, dance classes, Latin nibbles and a selection of cocktails at the bar to make the evening unforgettable.
In the evenings Bar Salsa has a range of fantastic fun and exciting things for customers to enjoy. On Monday, they have a happy hour from 5.30pm – 7.30pm, followed by a ‘hard-core Salsa lesson for hard-core dancers'. Ranging from Mambo to Cuban, the strictly Salsa night is lead by 3 times British Champion ‘Susan Montero' and The Million Man Moves "SuperMario", whilst DJ Richard and Doctor Jim play all of the latest Salsa beats. For the Beginners, Improvers and Advanced the class lasts from 7pm-8pm. For other Beginners and Intermediate there is a second class that runs from 8pm-9pm.
On Tuesdays they have ‘Club Forca Basil', which is the ultimate Brazilian dance party with DJ Fred and live bands playing everything from Axe to Pagode to Samba Reggae. Samba is usually played at Carnival time in Brazil; this percussion led style is exuberant, sensual and hypnotising. The happy hour is from 5.30pm-7.30pm, this time being led by Director and Chorographer Ella Peck, known as ‘Rainha Da Bateria' ("Queen of Samba"), accompanied by Britain's top Samba ensemble of the last two decades, the London School of Samba.
Wednesday night offers ‘Metrolatina' Samba classes, starting with free fun 15-minute beginners classes followed by classes at all levels until 9pm. On Thursday night Bar Salsa goes ‘Latin Crazy' with professional Latin dancing teacher Latin Krazy. Starting at 7.30pm Latin Krazy leads dancers of all levels through a night of Latin rhythm. Following that a variety of live bands play a trendy mix of Latin music.
And lastly Friday night is ‘Latin Fever Night' where it all kicks off with the dance classes being led by Kwamee. The range of music depends on the bands and their unique styles and then later DJ Jorge starts his session with popular Latin club music to rock the night away.
The bar also has a fabulous variety of exotic food to offer, including Tabas, Nachos, Fajitas, Enchiladas or Quesadillas, Tortilla Italiana and a wide range of accompaniments. One adult ticket costs £10 to enter, however you only pay for one when you taketwo with the taketwo 2 for 1 voucher and guidebook.
