Lee Brice's reaches the summit this week, planting his flag at #1 with "A Woman Like You." Just below Brice's catchy tune is Blake Shelton's own upbeat love song, "Drink on It." It steps up from #3 to #2, its highest charting position yet. Freshly bestowed ACM's Album of the Year honors, Miranda Lambert's ballad "Over You" creeps up from #7 to #5 while Taylor Swift's "Ours," formerly at #5, drops down to #9. Perhaps for good? Making gains this week are Carrie Underwood's "Good Girl" (#10-#8) and Jason Aldean's "Fly Over States" (#9-#7). Dipping his toe in at #10 is Tim McGraw, whose "Better Than I Used to Be" from his new album Emotional Traffic, makes its entrance into the top 10.

It couldn't happen to a better song.

Country pop rules the top 5 this week, starting off with Rascal Flatts's long-awaited new record Changed, which checks in at #1. Hardly surprising given the strong showing by the group's single "Banjo." Changed makes a fitting companion piece to Lionel Richie's smooth melding of country and R&B, Tuskegee, which is lock-step behind the Flatts boys at #2. Lady Antebellum's radio-ready Own the Night shows no signs of slowing down, climbing two rungs up from #6 to #4. "Homeboy" Eric Church stands his ground at #5 with Chief while Luke Bryan dips down from #3 to #2. Notable country albums debuting this week include The Lacs' gritty 190 Proof and the Johnny Cash rarities collection The Soul of Truth: Bootleg Vol. IV.

What are people listening to on country radio this week? Pretty much what they're listening to on the singles charts. Let's run it down again: Lee Brice's tongue-in-cheek "A Woman Like You," clocking in at #24. And don't forget Blake Shelton, whose prescription for heartache is lots of booze: "Drink On It" commandeers a corner booth at #25. Lady Antebellum, check (#29). Jake Owens, present and accounted for at #30. Ah, but Miranda Lambert's "Over You" is a bit more appealing to drive-time listeners than Rascal Flatts's "Banjo" (#33). Lambert outperforms the group by one level, at #32.
