Anxiety and Anxiety Attacks

20
Anxiety and anxiety attacks can be caused by many external sources; but perhaps the biggest source of all is stress.
Stress and anxiety seem to go hand in hand.
It seems there are always things to stress about these days: money, work, family, bills, health and a host of other things.
Stress doesn't go away entirely and will come up periodically throughout your life.
The key to keeping stress under control is to learn how to deal with it effectively so it doesn't consume you and take over your life.
Stress can cause emotional and physical problems that will affect you more than the situation itself.
The best way to deal with stress is to change your thinking.
Instead of cursing out your boss, be thankful that you have a job; instead of complaining about your kids, be thankful for them - millions of people are unable to have children; if you are worried about paying your hydro bill, be thankful you have a roof over your head; if you are complaining about car repair bills, be thankful you have a car.
In other words, for every negative situation, you can certainly put a positive spin on it.
Being thankful for even the smallest of things will shift your mood and you will be able to think of solutions to your problems.
Keep a journal and write down things you are grateful for every day.
There are also things you can do every day to relieve stress.
Exercise is known to release endorphins that will make you feel good and increase your confidence.
You will not only look good in your favourite jeans, you will feel better about yourself and have new found ability to tackle those pesky problems.
You also need to eat right and get your daily intake of vitamins and minerals.
Sunshine and vitamin D will also boost your mood.
Dealing with stress and anxiety takes work and real determination to conquer.
If you try the above tips and still find that you are suffering, you may need to see a medical professional.
He or she will be able to recommend behavioural therapy or prescription medication.
You owe it to yourself to at least try some of the everyday techniques for a few months before you see your doctor.
Exercise and healthy eating can only benefit you; you should be doing these things anyway, regardless of whether you have stress in your life.
