Instructions for a MDX Keyless Remote
- To begin the programming sequence in your Acura MDX, make sure the doors and trunk are closed on the vehicle. Enter the vehicle through the driver's door with your key and keyless remote in hand. Close the door behind you. Make sure you have with you all of the remotes you intend to program. The programming sequence should take only a minute or two and will have you ready to use your remotes once you are finished.
- Take your vehicle's key and insert it into the ignition of your car. Turn the key two clicks to the right to the "On" position (marked with the number "II"). With your key in one hand and remote in the other, press the lock button on your first remote. Release the button and cycle the key in your ignition one click back to the left (to the "Off" position) and then quickly back to "On." Repeat this step two more times, pressing the lock button and the quickly cycling the lock to the "Off" position and back to the "On" position, for a total of three cycles. Press the lock button again and your locks will cycle to indicate that the programming is initiated.
- Now that the programming sequence is ready, press the lock button again on your first remote and wait for the locks to respond. Grab your second remote and press the lock button. Again wait for the locks to respond. You can program up to three remotes to one MDX. Once your final remote is programmed, turn the key back to the "Off" position and remove it from the ignition. You will now be free to use your remotes, and you can test them immediately as you still sit in the car.
