With the new Smurf movie recently released to consumers on DVD and Blu-ray, Halloween parties using Smurfs party supplies are growing in popularity.
In addition to using Smurf themed decorations and supplies, party guests are on the hunt for the perfect Smurf costume, or Smurfette costume.
With that in mind, here's three Halloween party ideas using Smurf party supplies:

1. Create Smurfy invitations
Using Smurf themed Halloween party invitations, request that each guest dress in a Smurf costume or something Smurf related (a t-shirt, hat, etc.
).
Add some creativity to the invitation by using blue markers or gel pens, and use Smurfy language.
Use lots of blue glitter and other Smurfy embellishments to make the Halloween party invitations fun.
Make them stand out when hung on the guest's refrigerator.

2. Have fun with the food
Consider making all the food blue.
Blue food coloring can be mixed with just about anything, plus blue fruit punch and other blue beverages are readily available in the marketplace.
If you bake a Smurf cake or cupcakes, add plenty of blue food coloring to the white cake mix and the white frosting.
You could also bake a jell-o cake (using blue jell-o) and mix blue food coloring into the whipped cream and white cake.
Set out blueberries and refer to them as Smurfberries.
Make blue macaroni salad by adding a couple drops to the mayonnaise, and make blue clam chowder the same way.
As you can see, any white based or clear food or beverage can easily be colored blue.

3. Don't forget the villains
Enlist the help of at least one adult for every three children present at the party.
You'll have a better idea of how many helpers you'll need once you've received all of your RSVPs.
When asking your helpers to attend the party, ask them to dress up as any one of the villains featured in Smurf history.
This includes the cat, Azrael! These costumes can be as simple as purchasing a mask to picking up a full dress costume similar to a Smurf costume that one or more of the guests may show up dressed up in.

Some children and adults haven't seen the new Smurf movie yet, so consider making that part of the Halloween party.
Make sure the party is planned long enough so guests can sit down and watch the entire movie without making the rest of the party feel rushed.
Place Smurf party supplies, as well as decorations throughout the area where the movie is going to be played, as well as where all the food is set out.
Fill loot bags with Smurfy items found in online party supply stores, as well as big box stores.
These items range from straws to erasers to decks of cards to stickers and everything in between.
Set the party favor bags into a large blue bowl for guests to retrieve on their way out.
That way, items aren't spilled out and inadvertently mixed up with another guest's.
This, too, prevents anyone from fighting over having the wrong character eraser or the wrong color straw.
These things can happen, so try to avoid them.
